Product Overview
Celebrate the amazing legacy of Willie O'Ree with this custom designed t-shirt – all proceeds will benefit the Black Girl Hockey Club (BGHC), a non-profit dedicated to uniting Black women in the hockey community and make hockey even more welcoming. Willie became the first Black hockey player to play an NHL game on January 18, 1958. 64 years later, on January 18, 2022, he became only the 12th Boston Bruin to have his jersey (#22) raised to the rafters. Willie’s lasting impact still lives on today and can be felt throughout every aspect of the game. T-shirt graphic designed in collaboration with Terry Smith, Wayne Simmonds, J.T. Brown, Eustace King and Bauer.
